This is a portion of a documentary project I produced while a grad student at UCLA back around 1974 called "Reminiscing In Tempo". I was fortunate to interview many of the great musicians who had played with Duke Ellington's band over the years, among them the great drummer Louie Bellson. The interview segment is followed by a small group version of "Cottontail" featuring Duke Ellington on piano, Joe Pass on guitar, Ray Brown on bass, and Louie Bellson on drums.
